Always a source of inspiration, here’s a nice reminder from one of the great Sons of Liberty:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”

This warring from Thomas Jefferson helps put into context what has happen to us, and why we must do what we now seek to do. Restore the Constitution thou the 10th Amendment.

"The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground." - Thomas Jefferson, letter to E. Carrington, May 27, 1788

The truth is, even if we are successful government will inevitably begin to corrupt itself again with power being against shifted towards the center at the expense of that which really matters the individual people’s liberty.

Someday our descendants will inevitably have to do this again; even if we are successful, all we are really doing is buying more time in freedom. This fact should not discourage you, but rather enlighten you as to the true nature and cost of liberty. Life is not easy nor is freedom it cheap.
