The following is a letter being sent to legislators in my state of Minnesota:

I, Leon Moe, an American, a Minnesota resident and a disabled combat veteran that took an oath to serve, protect and defend the Constitution, expect nothing less from any elected public servant who also takes an oath to serve, protect and defend the Constitution. I offer this resolution.

I am asking for your help to restore our State Sovereignty as provided under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution by co-authoring Minnesota House Files 997 & 1437, get them to a hearing and then on to the Minnesota House floor for a vote and passed. This non-partisan legislation would be a great step forward to recognize that We the People of Minnesota HAVE THE CONSTITUTIONAL OPTION to say NO to out of control government spending and taxation, NO to unauthorized, unfunded federal mandates, and NO to unauthorized, unconstitutional federal legislations and regulations.

If you oppose Republican unfunded mandates like No Child Left Behind and undeclared foreign wars you should support this sovereignty resolution. If you oppose Democrat unfunded mandates contained in the Health Care bill and Supreme Court decisions that erode individual and state sovereignty, you should support this resolution. 37 States are now considering Sovereignty Resolutions!

This is a very simple request! Please respond to this e-mail no later than February 5th, 2010.

You have 2 options:

YES; or
NO

Please understand that I do not intend for this to be a meaningless exercise. I will record and publish your responses to this request. If you choose to not respond I will publish that as well. I think your vote will provide powerful evidence of whose side you are on.

Do you represent honest, hard-working Minnesotans? That is, do you represent “the People” referenced in the Tenth Amendment? Or do you represent and bend the knee to party masters in Washington, D.C.? WE THE PEOPLE want to know.

In November of 2010, it is my understanding that all seats in the Minnesota House of Representatives will be up for re-election and your YES or NO response will provide helpful information for me to provide to your constituents and, if necessary, your political opponents.

Thank you.

Simply respond to Leon Moe via email lmoe47@gmail.com no later than February 5th, 2010.
