The heat is rising and the stakes are certainly high as our state sovereignty movement continues to grow, reflecting the mainstream nature of the principles that bind us as lovers of liberty and natural rights.

As the movement grows, so have charges from the supporters of centralized government, framing the sovereignty movement as many things. Those in the corporate media seek to characterize our cause in a disparaging light- some say that we are simply a radical wing of the republican party, others claim that we are corporate operatives seeking only to damage the Democratic momentum.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

As this movement continues to mount it is of utmost importance to counter these notions. One of the most vital requirements for success for our cause will be to demonstrate through our words and actions that we are not a partisan movement, not simply a manifestation of the Republican scheme but rather a group of Americans rallying around the most mainstream elements of the American ideal, that being liberty and self determination.

As the battle rages on, it will be increasingly important to isolate elements within our ranks who do condone violence, promote radical methods and prey upon fear and sensationalism. Revealing attempts to marginalize sovereignty supporters as false will be no easy task and will require responsible and measured efforts from us all, but will be critical if the sovereignty movement is to attain the mainstream support needed for victory over the forces aligned against freedom and the intentions of our founding fathers.

If there is one example to follow, it may be the movement that brought down the largest centralized government in modern history, none other than the USSR. The iron curtain came down not as a result of violence, but rather peaceful solidarity amongst average working class soviets who chose to calmly resist.

As our own Federal Government proceeds on a path which imitates the very communists who we once considered our mortal enemies, take heart in the methods which brought the Soviet juggernaut to it’s knees- not radicalism, but rather a peaceful union of non-compliance.
