Well on his Fox program in the last couple of shows he has been moving more and more towards that apology, in stating her question are legitimate, and indicating her problem was not giving the concise yes or no answer he was demanding from her.

He has not yet directly apologized, for demanding a strait yes or no answer to a polarized issue without clearly defining his question. But Glenn has been slowly moving towards that that. Perhaps the complains and education efforts have been getting to him and he is starting to realizes the nature if the term is more broadly encompassing then he once though it was.

"But how far can we trust the principles of a man who sees no problem with hosting a rally to “restore the Constitution” in the temple of one of its worst enemies?"

I'm glad someone else noticed this oxymoron. I did immediately upon announcement of the event. I never missed Beck's TV show in the beginning, but he started losing me a couple months ago, too.

I wish Fox would fire Glenn and hire Andrew Napolitano. He's a much more consistent constitutionalist (having been a voice of dissent during both Republican and Democratic administrations/majorities in D.C), and he's the sort of 'watchdog' we need in the mainstream media.

Fox News was smart enough to give him his internet-only show, Freedom Watch, but they're not smart enough to give him T.V. airtime (other than occasionally filling in for Glenn when he's sick or coming on for a few minutes as a commentator).

It is a pity, though. As I am a former 'neoconservative', I wanted to give Glenn the benefit of the doubt and hope that he could be the voice of liberty in the mainstream media. This 'interview' (if it can hardly be called that) really lowered my tolerance for him, though. From now on, I'll be getting my 'daily dose of liberty' from The Judge.

Beck lost? Sheeeee....ite! He makes more than $20 million a year. He knows the game he is playing. He has staff. He has allegiances. He is in the media. He's not lost. He is one of "them." I've been saying this for a while. You got yet another taste. The guy is insidious.

On September 22, 2008, Glenn Beck said, “The real story is the $700 billion that you`re hearing about now is not only, I believe, necessary, it is also not nearly enough, and all of the weasels in Washington know it.”

Now, I find this a bit disturbing. The American people were very concerned about a massive bail-out, and many of us, including me, were opposed vehemently. But Beck comes on and says not only that he’s for it, but it should be WAY higher.

Then, in the months that followed, he spread fear about runaway inflation and the collapse of the dollar in order to be the number-one spokesman for gold peddlers. It seems Beck profited immensely by taking a position that, if followed, would open the door to selling fear based on circumstances he wanted to happen. His only regret would seem to be the bailout was not 5 times as large, so he could profit from selling 5 times the fear.

I don’t know about this guy…..

He hedges AGAINST our national dollar by stoking fear, after being part of the campaign to coax the country to accept the bail-out. $20 million richer, and you'll here him say now he's against the bail-out. Come now. I'll believe that when he gives back the $20 million he made on that line of crap.

I'm from Oregon and support Medina and her ilk and was sorry to see Beck mistreat her.

Constitutionalism is not dependent on one person. Beck appears to be another self-absorbed narcissist just like all the other media personalities. He's found a niche that he's exploiting to make money. At times, it appears to align with Constitutionalism but the central focus of his life appears to be himself - at all costs.

I recall when Ron Paul was running for President and Beck was on CNN TV and mercilessly hosed Dr. Paul in an interview. As a Paul supporter, I was livid at Beck.

After he moved to Fox, he seemed to be in love with Ron Paul. I don't understand why he seemed to change his mind about Dr. Paul.

Unless I missed it, he's never explained his rude dismissal of Paul's ideas earlier and he's never apologized to Dr. Paul for dissing him when the support would have helped a lot for Dr. Paul's campaign and ideas.

Beck seems to be a fickle and very loose canon and it would be very unwise to look to him for help. His support comes with a big downside and it's simply not worth it.

In the end, this movement must be championed by ordinary people - NOT by media stars.

Monoprise,

Agreed. As soon as Beck recognizes the error of his actions, I would be more than willing to let bygones be bygones. But does anyone really think he is going to do that?

Until he gets his head on straight and his facts right, Beck is going to remain a thorn in the side of the Tenth Amendment movement because he misinforms and misdirects many people who would otherwise be receptive to the message of liberty.

Monorprise, I can see your point, but as of yet Beck has yet to apologize. In fact I have heard nothing from him on this beyond his and Stu's making fun of her after the phone call. I have emailed him, but of course haven't gotten a response. He has been given many chances, and as much research as he obviously has done he should have learned about the problems with Lincoln just like he has with Wilson.

I don't watch or listen to him religiously, but I have never heard him apologize for anything.

I have to say I think Glenn really is as lost as he often clams to be and is still in search of information and understanding. To that end I don't really see any value to condemn him on this or many other mistakes. Let us simply correct and educate him.

Let him apologize and admit it was a bit shortsighted and let us all be done with this matter.

In truth this should be our approached with all media and politicians. They MUST be given a chance to learn and correct themselves, or we are no better then they have been.
