Old Dog,
Good intentions of ordinary citizens have no just position in the politics of today. Those who have served term after term have become immune in their own minds to our laws and their responsibilities. The human nature changes with position of authority no matter how insignificant the position. Just spend some time in any local office trying to correct any error and their little rules post obstacles to any direction you may venture in your quest. (Many rules are often made up on the spot ). Most often, these are just to impress you with their power and positions of importance. Go head to head with a local councilman or Mayor and see how far you get...Now... climb the ladder of importance to the Federal level and look at the pomp of members of Congress and the Administration and do the math because it has a multiplication factor that is equal to their spend and tax numbers. They have absolutely no fear of the puny public opinion of them or the job they do. Because we cannot organize for that same and exact reason...those who initiate any new movement, began to ask for monies and move friends into power positions and then fall flat when everyone realizes they are going down the same old path again and back away from them. Watch the TEA PARTY fall apart now that the Republicans are taking credit for the cause and trying to ride it into the next elections...they will manage to destroy that movement and it is the best one for the people to use against all of them. I would say exactly he same thing if the Democrats try to climb aboard, because all of them are at least partly to blame...the TEA PARTY needs to remain a movement and not unite with any party...

Very well said, Mr. Harvey - continued...

Americans must make the committment to the slow, pain-staking process of taking back their rights block by block, town by town, and educating themselves on the type of action they must take to remain highly vigilant to all government actions and the likely long term ramifications of such actions.

As Thomas Jefferson put it, "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.", and also very wisely said, "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free it expects what never was and never will be.".

Very well said, Mr. Harvey!

The idea of a "magic bullet" in economics, politics, medicine, and a wide array of organized human activity has always been a seductive fantasy that rarely comes to fruition and Mr. Harvey surely defeats this same fantastical thinking in the notion that a new constitution could ever fix the wild tangle of problems encountered by Americans struggling to hold their ground in the age of a crumbling global fascist empire bent on hanging on to its power at all costs to civilized society.

Probably sooner rather than later, a new constitution would be looked on "as just a goddamned piece of paper" (as our last commander-in-chief exclaimed) if the citizens aren't sufficiently educated on how to interpret or defend their constitution from constant internal and external threats.

While I appreciate the effort to educate Boobus Americanus...the American citizen, about the Constitution, I must point out that the US Constitution has been dead for at least 150 years. This is just like arguing about the terms and conditions of an insurance policy that you had that expired decades ago. The Terms and Conditions Don't Matter!!! Why not just write cogent articles about constitutional conventions in each state as they contemplate secession? Please stop helping people stay ignorant, and bring them into the light of truth and liberty.

rough draft oa a 28th amendment

we are unique in our persons , communities , cities , and states . we reserve the right to live in freedom and to govern ourselves .
to reaffirm the intent of the 10th amendment ; the people of the united states grant the federal government limited authority .

the interpretation of the commerce clause as applied to the states shall be restricted to meaning regulation of 'fairness of commerce' between the states of the union .
this power is restricted to equalizing taxes , tariffs , and duties among the states as they may require to generate revenue for their own operation .
no interpretation of the commerce clause will be presumed to authorize control of or interfere with commerce within a state or among states ,
except to maintain fair access via land , water , or air for the purpose of allowing states to conduct commerce among themselves .

further , that promoting general welfare as used in the preamble of the constitution , be defined as one of the reasons for the constitutions establishment , and in no way a grant of power .
that providing for the common defense and general welfare as used in section 8.1 be understood to refer to funding the enumerated powers and is not under congresses discretion ,
is not an enumerated or implied power itself , nor a source granting authority to legislate under 'the necessary and proper clause' .
General Welfare shall be defined as the encompassing purpose for which the enumerated powers of this constitution are authorized .

that the executive treaty making power of article 2:2 , additionally require the approval of two thirds of the states .

and further , that all proposed legislation contain derivations of constitutional authority and the names of attesting legislators
