No matter how you feel about gay marriage we must understand that the constitution is a legal document and it is the legality of an act that should be the issue. Its never if we support the act or not but whether that act is legal under the constitution. The ruling was legally correct in my opinion and that is all we should ever want from the courts.

exactly. One side obliterates it in one way, and the other side does the same for other issues.

This case taken with the recent Chicago 2nd amendment case. forms a perfect case of the dubious views both major parties hold of the Constitution. They see it as a tool to use to beat their rival until it is inconvienient, then it is to be discarded without regard to the impact on the future generations liberties.
