Gay Rights or States’ Rights?

When a federal judge overturned California’s ban on gay marriage, this supposed “victory” was in reality a defeat for the Constitution.

I disagree. This was a huge victory. How is it a good thing when the state can put peoples rights up to a vote?

the 14th amendment gives you an equal right to get married. It is up to the states to decide the legal definition thereof. Whether or not you like, it's not a civil rights issue. If you don't like it, do what the californians did, take it to the ballot!
