For decades our nation has been building towards a crescendo. This crescendo is predicated on the issue of sovereignty; more specifically–state sovereignty. How is this crescendo going to initiate itself…?

The state of Indiana is currently one of twenty six states who are suing the federal government because of the passage of the Obamacare bill. In addition to these developments, on January 18, 2011, SB 505 was introduced to the Indiana senate.

SB 505 “Provides that any federal act, order, law, rule, regulation or statute found by the general assembly to be inconsistent with the powers granted to the federal government in the Constitution of the United States is void in Indiana.”

This bill is just what Indiana needs to initiate the first strike, a strike that will chip away at some of the federal power that has slowly eroded our sovereignty. And to be sure, the state of Indiana, and all others as well, must push for a reduction of federal regulation in other areas too, such as the public schools. But one step at a time.

As the old adage goes: “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” and neither will this movement be built with only one piece of legislation, or with one rally, one election, and so on. This will require patience, perseverance and passion.

I urge all freedom-loving Hoosiers to support this bill. Contact your state senators and representatives immediately. If you know any grassroot organizations, get this information into their hands and begin to promote this proposed piece of legislation now. Everyone must back this piece of legislation because it’s imperative if we wish to preserve our ability to live our own lives and to make our own decisions.
