Here is an interesting perspective from an unlikely position on the spectrum. It is not often that the Tenth Amendment is covered in the mainstream, and when it is, it’s often associated with the Tea Party or conservatism (it would be with libertarianism as well, assuming the mainstream media would cover them as well). Here’s an article, written by Sam Smith of the Progressive Review. In it, he points out how the liberals have been hurt by their neglect of the Bill of Rights and specifically, the Tenth Amendment.
It goes back to a point in regards to the Tenth Amendment I’ve made before: Even liberals can support this and still advance their policies. Just as the conservatives do, they can enact their policies at the State or lower level, as provided for under the Tenth Amendment. This is one thing that conservatives, liberals, libertarians, greens, etc. could all agree on, without agreeing on specific policy points. If only the spiteful partisanship would cease to cloud most perspectives.

WHY LIBERALS DESERVE TO LOSE
By Sam Smith
“In an amazing piece of masochism and anti-historical argument, The Center for American Progress has dubbed those who support the Tenth Amendment “Tenthers,” an obvious play on “birthers.”
Empirically, it is fair to say that liberals now oppose the Second and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution and don’t give a damn about the Fourth Amendment as long as a Democratic president is dismantling it.
Dumping two thirds of the Bill of Rights hasn’t saved the liberals, however. They have become futile complainers under a Republican administration, and indentured servants of a conservative Democratic one. They regard themselves as wiser and smarter than most Americans, but are unable to tell the difference between being elite and becoming extinct.”
