The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
-Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States

In this episode, hosts Michael Boldin and Jason Rink say so long, we hardly knew ya – to the 4th Amendment. They cover the personal account of author and retired air force doctor T.P. Alexanders. Her recent trip through the TSAs “security checkpoint” in New Mexico was an outrage. She was arrested for merely reciting the 4th Amendment at a TSA checkpoint. The message from the thugs at the TSA? Don’t even SPEAK about the 4th Amendment, or you’re going down, and under arrest. This is an outrage – and that’s an understatement.

But it’s not just the TSA that hates your rights and the 4th amendment, a federal court now claims that warrants are a thing of the past. Do something online, just about anything – and they claim the power to require companies to tell them all about it. Orwell was being modest about the powers of big brother in comparison to these people….so in this show, we will bid a fond farewell to the Fourth Amendment…Tenther Style.

Like Rahm Emmanuel says, “you never let a serious crisis to go to waste.” Republicans took this motto to heart under George Bush, but they haven’t stopped doing it under Barack Obama. Later in the show, Boldin and Rink talk with Tad DeHaven of the CATO institute about republican hypocrisy over federal subsidies – this time on Energy and even Christmas trees.
