In reviewing Charles P. Pierce’s “Pitching the Tenth” article which recently appeared on Esquire.com, it is always amazing to me when those of the left, tell us exactly who they are by projecting their values, or lack of values, upon their perceived enemies.

Mr. Pierce bases much of his article on Kenneth Stern the author of The Force Upon the Plain, who is preoccupied with ‘Politics of Hate,’ along with armed citizens. Also quoted is a former Colorado State Senator, Charlie Duke, who has fallen on hard times and who has been discredited by some on the left. The article, not showing the skill set of a journalist of 36 years, attempts to credit the ‘militia movement’ as the driving force behind the ‘Tenther movement’ and also the driving force behind “Tenth Amendment Resolutions” in numerous states. Oh, and the militias are forcing the establishment Republican candidates to join in so they can be elected. The militias are also causing State governments to be corrupt. Seriously, is there anyone or thing that the militias don’t influence?

Wow, I don’t know what to say. Well, let’s see, maybe,” The militias are coming , the militias coming.”

But wait a minute; the use of force is exactly what the left does. Maybe that’s why they’re so paranoid over the militias. They don’t call their troops militias, but they have and are using force in groups such as Acorn, SEIU, and other unions to move their progressive agenda. It will happen in Obama ‘s proposed mandatory civilian service corps if it is ever formed.

No, Mr. Pierce, it is not the militias that drive the Tenthers, it is the fact that Americans are beginning to wake up. The Constitution is becoming popular reading again. The Founders are being rediscovered with joyful surprise. The people are discovering that if they want corrupt free government at all levels, it is they who have to clean up the situation. They are frustrated with the progressive Republican choices for president. Who will the People choose when they reject both Democrats and Republicans?

In America the Constitution stands as the supreme law of the land. It is the ‘We the People’ who rule. For the progressives out there, I am going to make this simple. Under the Constitution the first order of power is the people, then the states. and then the National Government. What the states didn’t reserve to themselves and to the People, they gave to the Federal government. No more, no less. Sorry, that’s the way it is. Hundreds of Constitutional lawyers like Obama can’t ‘change’ that. The U.S. Constitution was designed to provide for individual personal liberty. Sound old fashioned? Well, never has the word liberty been in use, in the past 50 years, more widely than it is now.

A hundred years of progressive governance is coming to a close. Their programs are falling apart. The choice will be either ‘progressing’ on to Marxism and the ‘Dictatorship of the Proletariat’ ,which has been their goal along, or it will be the re-establishment of Constitutional government. The road is going to be rough. I am going to bet on the People. The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution is the crowning jewel to the Bill of Rights.

Get ready to hear about the Tenth Amendment a whole lot. To add misery to your sorry souls, start thinking about Nullification. You will see States defending themselves from the repressive and failing influence of Washington. “Pitching the Tenth?” Not on my watch.

To those who are Constitutionalists, those who are defined by Mr. Pierce as the “extreme right,” may Providence guide you as it did those Founders 225 years ago.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery..” – Winston Churchill
