An Open Letter to Missouri Legislators:

Obamacare is the greatest threat to America in our lifetime.  We must each ask, “Are we doing all we can to fight it?”

The Missouri Constitution makes it clear — the “principal office” government is to protect the liberty of the people.  (Article I, Sec. 2)

That means they should make defeating the greatest threat to liberty the TOP PRIORITY!

This new short video from AmericanDocs4Truth explains some of the most onnerous aspects of this huge federal power grab called “Obamacare”.

Watch it:

Missouri voters spoke loudly in August 2010 when 71% of them rejected Obamacare. Unfortunately, Prop C did not result in the expected protections from that unconstitutional federal power-grab. More must be done if the people’s will is to be respected and their rights protected.

We can not sit back and hope the Supreme Court does their job.   If they don’t, it may be too late for Missouri to do anything.

SCORE CARD

There are five pieces of essential legislation pending:

  1. SJR 39 (Cunningham):  Stalled – S. calendar S. bills on 3rd read
With a planned amendment, this constitutional amendment will establish constitutional declaration that  the “liberty inherent in each citizen includes autonomy in decisions regarding lawful health care-related services or products”.
  2. SB 464 (Schaaf): Passed Senate, Stalled in House – House Health Insurance  committee (Molendorp, Chris, Chair)
This bill prohibits the governor from setting up an Obamacare Health Insurance Exchange by executive fiat.
  3. HJR 64 (Curtman): Stalled – House General Laws committee (Franz, Ward, Chair)
With a planned amendment, this constitutional amendment will establish constitutional declaration that  the “liberty inherent in each citizen includes autonomy in decisions regarding lawful health care-related services or products”.
  4. HJR 72 (Bahr): Never had a hearing – House General Laws committee (Franz, Ward, Chair)
This constitutional amendment will establish constitutional declaration that  the “liberty inherent in each citizen includes autonomy in decisions regarding lawful health care-related services or products”.
  5. HB 1534 (Bahr): Passed House 108 to 44, now on Senate 2nd read calendar
This bill declares “that the federal law known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, signed by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010, exceeds the power granted to Congress under the United States Constitution and therefore is not law, but is altogether void and of no force” in Missouri.

Three of those measures are the “Health Care Freedom Amendment”, but both House and Senate versions should be pushed this late in the session.  This amendment is needed to protect Missourians from both current and future attacks on their health care freedom.

DUTY BOUND – Please don let the people of Missouri down!

Please do all you can to get these bills moving, while we still have a chance.
