Nowhere will you find more bipartisan cooperation between the political parties than in the protection of incumbents. These fraternities of political elites guard their domain with all legal and in some cases illegal means at their disposal.

Both parties look with disdain at “True Believers”. Oh, they will use them and talk their language but they never will become one themselves. “True Believers” think that what is needed is limited government, term limits and the Tenth Amendment, all the things that would limit the powers of incumbents and political parties. These “True Believers” are cajoled, flattered and made to feel that what they want is what the parties want also, but to the parties they are nothing but “useful idiots.”

As Tip O’Neill was reported to have said – “All politics is local.” And when it comes to running for state or local offices nothing could be more true. You want to run for political office then you had better make your intentions known and ask for the parties blessing. You will be required to court all the “right people” and to kiss the ring of the party chairman.

The Party will tolerate a lot of the Tea Party small government nonsense as long as they know you understand that if elected you will do what the Party leadership demands. But what they will not tolerate is you running against one of the parties faithful, an incumbent. But if you actually believe in small government and want to run against one of their own, that is blasphemy and will be fought against with everything in their power.

These “Political Party Incumbent Protection Plans” are put into high gear during the primaries. There will be no deviation from the party line and preservation of the status quo is paramount. This happens all across America but the most blatant example is what is happening in South Carolina. 179 Candidates Thrown Off Ballot for Minor Technicality since then even more Tea Party, limited government, Tenth Amendment Constitutionalist and other candidates going up against established long time incumbents in both parties were thrown off the June 12 Primary Ballot. Because of a poorly written law concerning paperwork filling the South Carolina Supreme Court ruled, …“if challengers do not file correctly, they risk invalidating their candidacy. However, if incumbents file incorrectly, they are fined $100 and continue with their campaigns.”

In Charleston County, all but two challengers were thrown off the Ballot leaving incumbents with no opposition. To make matters worse one of the challengers a strong Tenth Amendment limited government supporter that made it onto the Ballot was challenged about running against a longtime incumbent by the Charleston County Republican Party Chair. As stated in formal complaint to the SC Attorney General, “the Charleston County Republican Party Chair, attempted to “bribe” me as to dissuade me from running for the SC House 110 candidacy. Ms. Bennett stated she had “another seat” for me should I choose to withdraw my candidacy for SC House 110. It is clear that Ms. Bennett knowingly attempted to induce me to withdraw my candidacy and bribe me to prevent me from pursuing the SC House 110 candidacy.” Fortunately, this was caught on video as the candidate was taping aspects of his run for office.

It is a daunting task for the political novice to run for office but when you choose to run against an incumbent in your own Party, you will also have to fight the Party as well. Local activism to gain control of an out of control state and federal government will mean fighting both political parties and entrenched incumbents. The Parties will not willing give up their power, control and perks for those of us that believe in smaller constitutional government. We believe the first job of government should be to protect our liberty not to benefit a few politicians and party officials.

The answer for those “True Believers” is not only to run for office but also to get to the root of the problem, the Political Parties themselves. There are numerous groups out there that point to the power that lies at the local level, the Precinct Executives for both political Parties. The Precinct Executives vote for the County Chairman who votes for the State Chairman who votes for the National Chairman, this happens in both Parties.

Control the Precincts control the Party. Control the Parties and we have a real chance to turn the government around.

For your consideration you might want to look into Precinct Organization.

From the website: National Precinct Alliance | United Precincts of America

This is what George Washington had to say about Political Parties:

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

Those words from George Washington were a warning and in looking at the condition of our political parties, uniting the American Precincts is the required solution now more than ever.

George Washington also said this:

“The power of the Constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and, whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can and undoubtedly will be recalled.”

What I hear in that quote is this: If the people are not engaged, there is no power. To be engaged in a positive way you must move into an offensive posture and out of the current defensive posture. The Precinct Strategy is an offensive posture and the United Precincts of America is an organization on the offensive. Now, if the Precinct Strategy is offensive, what would a defensive posture look like?

I can think of a few things such as:
1.Voting for the lesser of two evils.
2.Protesting
3.Letter writing
4.Conspiracy theories
5.Town hall meetings as you know them
6.Claims of a leaderless movement… folks, there is no such thing… that is a defensive posture of denial based in fear… there is always a figurehead. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but… it’s the very leaders or the figureheads that use the word leaderless. The Precinct Strategy will never work as a leaderless movement. A leaderless movement is how France found themselves with a leader named Napoleon Bonaparte.

You will be learning the offensive posture which can only begin in your own precinct and… with leadership roles within your precincts.

Can “The Precinct Strategy” Win Back Our America?
