“Extreme concentration of income is incompatible with real democracy.” Paul Krugman

“If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”Barack Hossein Obama

“The proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest, by degree, all capital from the bourgeoisie, to centralize all instruments of production in the hands of the state.”  Karl Marx

Freeloaders of the world unite! This message rings clear on Barack Obama’s Facebook page. Free student loans! Free birth control pills!  Free health care! Subsidies for wind power!

To count the existing and proposed claimants on the Federal purse is to count the reasons why the National Government is $16,000,000,000,000.00 in debt. And it is no coincidence that the fifty percent of Americans now dependent upon Federal subsidy count among the President’s most fervent supporters. Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell called us a nation of whiners. That characterization is fair, but not complete. We are nation of spongers.

It almost makes you nostalgic for classic Marxism as envisioned by Karl himself. The old, gritty version of socialism required toiling workers so each could enjoy the ensuing (but entirely fictional) paradise.

Not now.

President Obama has elevated government dependence over individual initiative. Socialist realists of the bygone era would often depict sturdy workers in bas relief on public monuments. Under Obama the sturdy worker with a hammer is replaced by a food stamp recipient clutching a TV remote. The forced labor of early socialism is now replaced by the subsidized laziness of today’s Obamanomics. Takers are in. Makers are out.

We get that Takers will side with Barry in November.  That, they say, is the tragedy of the commons. And Makers, by and large, except those whose jobs require Federal subsidy, will vote for Mitt. In between we have the moderate, that Upas tree of the Republic, who will either feed our liberty, or poison it.

The President of the United States is unabashedly campaigning as a Taker despite Takerism’s consistently disastrous track records in Greece, Venezuela, Zimbabwe and California. In the these United States, Takerism is responsible for the first ever downgrade of our national credit; has resulted in 46 million Americans on food stamps; and has saddled us with $16 trillion in debt that will continue to precipitously increase until our kids become indentured servants to China. Takerism shreds the Constitution in favor democratic mob rule.

I apologize if I omitted your own favorite example of Takerism, but I trust you get the point. The Takers need to be stopped.
