We are fast approaching Election Day and with that, the responsibility of every voter to determine which local, state and national candidates will best preserve and defend North Carolina and US Constitutions. Following and preserving these Constitutions or “employee handbooks” ensures our and our children’s freedom and liberties — failure to do so will bring financial collapse and tyranny.

The group organizer should at every function that a candidates for office attends give them a pocket Constitution to remind them that when elected they will swear an Oath to protect and defend that Constitution. It is imperative that they understand what powers they are given and which belong to the states or to the people.

State officials have not only an Oath to the US Constitution but also to our State Constitution and with their Oaths comes the extra responsibility to monitor the federal government, making sure that they have not stepped outside the bonds of the Constitution and are infringing on the citizens’ rights.

States ARE the last check on a federal government when it acts in an unconstitutional fashion; Thomas Jefferson said, “Whensoever the General government assumes undelegated powers …. a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy”.

If when elected the TEA, Liberty and other groups would get together and put into the hands of their state Legislators a copy of Nullification: How to Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century by Thomas E. Woods, Jr. it would help ensure they understand their responsibilities as state Legislators. Not only do they need to understand the concept of Nullification but also, they are, to quote Madison as representatives of the state “duty bound to interpose” to prevent the harm that would result from a “deliberate, palpable, and dangerous” unconstitutional action by the federal government.

Make them commit to read the Constitution and Mr. Woods book on Nullification, remember these officials are going through a job interview and when they are hired on Election Day they are our employees— they work for us we do not work for them!

They need to understand that like any employee who continually violates the limits of his job as laid out in the employee handbook (the Constitution), he will be fired at the next election!

Remember Benjamin Franklin’s answer to the woman when she asked him, “Well, Doctor, what we have got— a Republic or a Monarchy?” “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

The most important word in that sentence is YOU! It is up to you to make sure we keep the Republic as it was intended and that cannot be accomplished when our elected officials continually violate the Constitution and especially when our state does not stand up to Washington, DC and say NO!

Too long our states Legislators have allowed the federal government to violate the Constitution and pass laws that usurped the powers of our State and the liberties and the freedoms of our citizens. The time for Nullification of ALL unconstitutional acts by the federal government is NOW! Make the State Legislators understand that We the People will accept nothing less than the Nullification of Obamacare and the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA as their first acts when they convene the North Carolina Legislature in January!
