The Tenth Amendment Center heavily involves itself in local activism and educational opportunities.

The Florida Tenth Amendment Center recently participated in the first meeting of the “Constitution Series” hosted by two Palm Beach County Republican Clubs.

The Second Amendment took center stage, with Florida TAC representative Francisco Rodriguez giving a four minute update on Second Amendment protection legislation and resolutions across the U.S.

Panel speaker Warren Redlich explained the scope of arms ownership during colonial times, noting private ownership of warships. When asked how America got to this point, he said the erosion of the Second Amendment followed right along with the erosion of other constitutional provisions.

“Because we have allowed the violation of many of our other amendments, including the Fourth Amendment, a precedent has been set to violate the other amendments of the Bill of Rights,” he said.

Chase Adams, a spokesman for the Freedoms Foundation and an attorney clearly communicated the authority structure from The Creator all the way down to the federal government, with the federal government the lowest in authority below the states and the people. He went on to elaborate on the phrase “shall not be infringed” when asked about background checks and permitting laws.

Panelists also discussed the false distinctions surrounding the term “assault rifle.”

Rodriguez said the event created a great foundation for future events.

The 10th Amendment
