Obamacare Kill Bill: States Consider the Health Care Freedom Act

This past August, a conservative non-profit group, the American Legislative Exchange Council, or Alec, approved and published a model bill which would remove the IRS’ ability to penalize businesses for not offering health insurance in states which have not set up their own health exchanges.

If enacted at the state level, the Health Care Freedom Act (HCFA), as Alec calls it, would revoke the license any of health insurance provider that accepts federal subsidies through one of Obamacare’s health insurance exchanges. Supporters of the model bill argue that it neither conflicts with federal law, nullifies federal law, nor is trumped by federal law.

End the TSA

Of the many schemes the federal government has instituted, the Transportation Security Administration is probably one of the most worthless.

The TSA has even failed at their own mission statement,

Protect the Nation’s transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce.

The TSA let 25 illegal aliens take flight training classes, mandate people to go through full body screening machines that don’t detect metal, and fail their own security tests, allowing drugs and explosives through checkpoints.

Obama Mulls More Military in Iraq: States Should Refuse to Participate

The Nov. 5 edition of Stars and Stripes reported that President Obama is considering renewed military assistance to Iraq.

After a White House meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Obama said he shares al-Maliki’s fears about militants’ growing foothold in Iraq’s western province and will join the Iraqi leader’s effort to crack down. Administration officials said this would include growing intelligence support and new weaponry.
