Bills introduced in the Mississippi State Senate would block all state enforcement of federal firearms laws, rendering them, as Judge Andrew Napolitano put it, “nearly impossible to enforce.”

STATUS – 

SB2465 was referred to the Senate Judiciary, Division A on January 20.

SB2831  was referred to Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks*, Rules also on the 20th, both identically state state that:

YOUR ACTION IS NEEDED NOW ON BOTH BILLS.  It doesn’t matter where in Mississippi you live, take these actions today.

1.  Call the Judiciary committee members in support of SB2465.  Be strong, but respectful. Urge each of them to take action to move the bills forward and vote YES.  If they do not commit to a YES vote, ask them why.  If they’re undecided, let them know you’ll call back in a few days.

It’s essential that Mississippi no longer help but actively oppose the federal government’s attacks on the Second Amendment. Passing either or both bills will start that process.
