Oklahoma has two bills that would put severe restrictions on the use of drones within the state, in the House it is HB3039 in the Oklahoma Senate it is SB2043. assigned to the Judicial Proceedings committee.
STATUS – HB3039 has been assigned to the Judiciary Committee after its second reading. It needs a majority vote in this committee before the full House can consider it.
STATUS – SB2043 has been assigned to the Public Safety Committee then to Appropriations Committee after its second reading. It needs a majority vote in committee before the full Senate can consider it.
PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS – It doesn’t matter where you live in the state, please follow all these steps to support HB0847 and SB2043.
1. Please CALL the chair and the vice-chair of each committee. Strongly, but politely let them know that you want them to schedule a hearing and PASS HB0847 and SB2043 so it can get a vote in the full House and Senate. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email; yours can make the difference.
