Millions have lost their lives. And yet, you are not free.

Could it be worse? Maybe.

But today, you are a criminal if your toilet is too large, if you get the wrong type of light bulb, if you grow the wrong plant, if you prefer to not be scanned or felt up at an airport, and more.

You’re not free to protect your family with certain firearms, and if you choose to not purchase health insurance from a horrible company, you’ll get a tax penalty.

And keep in mind, you’re always a suspect. You just might be a terrorist, even if you don’t know it yet. All your communications are swept up for monitoring – at all times – to keep everyone else safe, they say.

Could it be worse?

Sure. Things could always be worse. But today, the US government violates rights more often than any other on earth.

And that’s the sad truth.
