I’ve always believed that having short, high-quality videos would be an important part of getting our message out to the general public. I’ve often struggled with getting them done, though – between learning a skill I’ve never had, getting the right equipment to get it done, and managing the overall workflow of the organization. We’ve done some decent videos in the past, but had to stop for a number of reasons. But things are moving in the right direction again.
Starting later this fall (or possibly after Christmas), I plan on starting our regular videos again. If the workload allows it, I hope to do a 2-5 minute video each week. Those videos could be a wrap up of the latest in news from the nullification movement like last year’s Tenther News show, or they could be a brief overview of a topic important to our work. I think it’s best to play it by ear for now and see how things go.
I’ll be editing in Adobe After Effects and Premiere CS6, where I’m a complete amateur, but learning. I also hope to get us a quality camera to go with our current lighting setup, the Lowel Rifa ex44 Kit.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has been chipping in to help us pay our bills that last few months. While things continue to be tight financially, we are finally covering our regular expenses, which is a big reason I’m able to move forward with getting some videos done. If you want to pitch in and help out, you can do so here.
