Kansas State Rep. Brett Hildebrand (R-Shawnee), author of the Kansas Right to Try Act, was recently featured on KAKE TV to discuss HB2004. This is a bill that would expand access for terminally ill patients to experimental drugs not yet approved by the FDA, effectively nullifying the agency’s unconstitutional control.

“This definitely has the potential to cross party lines. I think that representatives from all political spectrums could see a benefit in this,” Rep. Hildebrand said.

Rep. Hildebrand went on to extol the virtues of the effort by saying, “I can only imagine the frustration of government bureaucracy holding them up from potential treatment. I don’t think that government should stand in the way of anything that could potentially extend their life.”
