Texas SJR16 is a proposal to amend the Texas state constitution. If passed through the legislature, voters would have the opportunity to approve the amendment prohibiting any state agency from taking any action that compels or helps effectuate a health insurance mandate.
This bill must pass through the Senate Business & Commerce Committee successfully before it can receive a full senate vote. Take the following action steps to support this important bill.
1. Call the Senate Business & Commerce Chair, Kevin Eltife. Strongly, but respectfully urge him to move SJR16 forward to a vote in his committee. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email.

2. Call the rest of the committee members. Again, be strong, but respectful. Urge each of them to take action to move the bill forward and vote YES on SJR16.
