Virginia SB965 would put restrictions on automatic license plate readers. It was passed unanimously in the state senate on Feb. 6. It must pass through the House Committee for Courts of Justice successfully before it can receive a vote from the full house. Take the following action steps to ensure the success of this important bill.

1. Call the House Committee for Courts of Justice Chair, David B. Albo. Strongly, but respectfully urge him to move this important bill forward to a vote in his committee. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email.

2. Call the rest of the committee members. Again, be strong, but respectful. Urge each of them to take action to move the bill forward and vote YES on SB965.
