In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I talk about Harriet Tubman and the $20 bill, and how individuals can make a difference at the state level.

This week, I delve into two completely unrelated issues in a rather spontaneous and completely unscripted episode of my podcast.

I’ve seen a lot of opinions about Harriet Tubman replacing Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. Some people were thrilled by the move. Other have expressed outrage. But I have a take on the subject you probably haven’t thought about. It is a win for the nullifiers!

And some good news out of Kentucky demonstrates the power of grassroots activism when applied at the state level.

In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I reveal the rich and beautiful irony of Tubman usurping Jackson on the $20 bill. And I explain how activists in the Bluegrass State changed a governor’s mind.
