Did the Republic end in 1913?

The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”      ~ Alexis de Tocqueville

Did you know that you live in a nation that’s approaching it’s death-rattle-centennial? I bet you probably didn’t. Right in front of our very eyes the Republic was sold into the hands of the banking elites. Right underneath our noses our birthright was stolen. You might be asking yourself: “Ryan, what is so important about 1913?

First, one must examine Alexis de Tocqueville’s comment in reference to the death of the Republic. When de Tocqueville came to America, being privy to the politics and social conditions of his homeland of France, he wished to see what made America so special. His findings, after coming to America and examining our social and political lives, were recorded in his most famous writing: Democracy in America. In it, de Tocqueville discovered that Americans tended to be a very free people, a religious people and a people who were drawn to being in groups… or alliances. But his most dire findings were associated with our political system. He knew that America would perish if the politicians began to bribe the people with their own money. This was impossible until 1913.

1984 in 2011

This process of continuous alteration was applied not only to newspapers, but to books, periodicals, pamphlets, posters, leaflets, films, sound tracks, cartoons, photographs–to every kind of literature or documentation which might conceivably hold any political or ideological significance. Day by day and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date…”

George Orwell was as prophetic as anyone when he penned one of the greatest literary works in the history of man–1984. What is 1984? You should know; you LIVE in a quasi-1984 society. A society where Big Brother’s everywhere (or at the very least, has the technology in-place and the court precedents to spy on anyone, anywhere). A society in which you’re not to think, as a matter of fact, to think outside-the-box, to be libertarian, and to love liberty, these are seen as Thought-Crimes. You’re coming against the system and the system’s not happy about it.

Zombies Have Penetrated the Safe-house!

Have you ever watched a zombie movie before? What happens? A group of absolute strangers band together, ignore their differences and attempt to survive. One thing that usually happens is that the group of strangers hold-up in an abandoned house and board-up the windows to keep the flesh-eating zombies at-bay. What I want to show you is how we too, the citizenry of the greatest nation the world has ever known, are facing an army of well-placed un-dead. These zombies are just like your stereotypical zombies that are seen in the movies–they too feast on the living. Who are the zombies that roam the night devouring the living? One word–politicians.

You see, in this horror movie that you and I are living in, the safe-house is the Constitution. The Constitution is supposed to be a place of protection against human nature. In case you’ve neglected to examine history: human nature doesn’t have a good track record. Millions of people have died and been persecuted throughout the ages by the “zombies” that feast on power and the life’s-blood of humanity–freedom.
