Idaho bill effectively nullifies new federal gun control measures

Yesterday, the Idaho state house passed a bill which would effectively nullify future federal gun laws by prohibiting state enforcement of any future federal act relating to personal firearms, a firearm accessories or ammunition. The vote was 68-0. It previously passed the state senate by a vote of 34-0, and will now go to the Governor’s desk for a signature.


Idaho Action Alert: Support S1332 to Nullify New Federal Gun Control Measures

On Feb. 10, S1332 was introduced to make compliance with federal gun control an arrestable offense in the state of Idaho. (learn about it here) It passed through the senate by a 34-0-1 vote on Feb. 19. It has now been moved to the House State Affairs Committee where it will need to pass by a majority before it is sent to the whole house for a concurrent vote.
