RT’s The Resident Show recently featured the Fourth Amendment Protection Act and the OffNow.org campaign. Lori Harfenist hosted the segment.
“The idea of Congress stopping the NSA is laughable. Let’s be real here, they are probably not going to do anything meaningful to stop the NSA. We’re going to have to think of other ways to fight the data collection.
The NSA is in the process of making deals with these municipalities to build pump stations where waste water from treatment plants can be pumped into their data storage centers as a cooling agent.
The bill would ban state and local governments from helpin the NSA in any way including the delivery of natural resources like water.
So you gotta outsmart the rats by playing their own game, right?
OffNOw’s plan is a great way to throw up a roadblock to slow down the data collection if not stop it all together”
The NSA may try to find another way to cool their data centers, but if a state passes the Fourth Amendment Protection Act, it won’t do it with any state resources.
