The heat is rising and the stakes are certainly high as our state sovereignty movement continues to grow, reflecting the mainstream nature of the principles that bind us as lovers of liberty and natural rights.
As the movement grows, so have charges from the supporters of centralized government, framing the sovereignty movement as many things. Those in the corporate media seek to characterize our cause in a disparaging light- some say that we are simply a radical wing of the republican party, others claim that we are corporate operatives seeking only to damage the Democratic momentum.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

As this movement continues to mount it is of utmost importance to counter these notions. One of the most vital requirements for success for our cause will be to demonstrate through our words and actions that we are not a partisan movement, not simply a manifestation of the Republican scheme but rather a group of Americans rallying around the most mainstream elements of the American ideal, that being liberty and self determination.
As the battle rages on, it will be increasingly important to isolate elements within our ranks who do condone violence, promote radical methods and prey upon fear and sensationalism. Revealing attempts to marginalize sovereignty supporters as false will be no easy task and will require responsible and measured efforts from us all, but will be critical if the sovereignty movement is to attain the mainstream support needed for victory over the forces aligned against freedom and the intentions of our founding fathers.
If there is one example to follow, it may be the movement that brought down the largest centralized government in modern history, none other than the USSR. The iron curtain came down not as a result of violence, but rather peaceful solidarity amongst average working class soviets who chose to calmly resist.
As our own Federal Government proceeds on a path which imitates the very communists who we once considered our mortal enemies, take heart in the methods which brought the Soviet juggernaut to it’s knees- not radicalism, but rather a peaceful union of non-compliance.

The Tenth Amendment is aleady the law.
These resolutions add nothing legally - they are a political expression, a statement of position, a taking of sides.
How do we enforce the Tenth Amendment?
Has anybody gone to court and gotten a Federal statute overturned on Tenth Amendment grounds?
Very well put, especially this line:
"As the battle rages on, it will be increasingly important to isolate elements within our ranks who do condone violence, promote radical methods and prey upon fear and sensationalism."
I've always believed that the beauty and success of the "American Experiment" is the notion that we can and ought to have honest debate between good people. No one group or individual human holds the corner on truth. Truth, from a human standpoint, is held in the balance. Debate/Discussion purifies conviction. Conviction is the building block of ordered, disciplined society. Ideas win the day; violence, fear, sensationalism don't build conviction!

It's difficult to predict just who will feel threatened by the assertion of states' rights. Vigilance is needed to thwart those who advocate anything other than that which is sanctioned on the web site. Truth will ultimately prevail.
Well said Bryce! Just as Reagan managed to bring down the Berlin wall by calmly, firmly, and repeatedly speaking the truth, so too do we need to resolve to do the same. This is the best way to fight for the 10th Amendment and all of our freedoms. If we continue to speak the truth and not give up, eventually the wall will come down!
I agree fully, but I think we could benefit practically by hijacking our respective political party into supporting this cause on the different fronts.
We could hardest the preexisting political desires in both the left and the right for effective nullification on both sides.
This fight need not be clean, clear cut, or quick, it can in fact be as dirty and passionate as our politics simply redirected to a new aim, of solving the problem for ourselves rather then trying to get wasting to impose our solution on every one else.
We need not necessarily work with the other side of the spectrum left or right, but we do need to understand our common goal and common ground, and not fight each other where we need not do so.
If we can convince a republican in Texas that supporting the allowing of Drug legalization in California is on net a good thing for them in that they no longer after to wage that fight in Washington for themselves, we can begin to make peace.
If we Can convince the Liberals of California to that allowing Texas to have as many guns, as they want and out law abortions in Texas is on net a good thing for them as they will no longer have to fight for theses rights in Washington, then we can finish making political peace between us.
In a very real way the 10th Amendment movement is a movement for peace between our desperate peoples, not compromise, simply political peace on far more issues.
So yes its a lot more like the end of the cold war then you think it is, its an end of the on going political war we have been fighting in Washington between each other needlessly.
We are indeed seeking greater peaceful coexistence between us.
wait, can you explain how stopping "anchor babies" will do anything to limit the power of the federal government?
