Say what you will, no matter which you may belive or follow, the fact is..if any of these preformers cause the average American to start to research news for him/herself, its a good thing.! The great majority of us have sat on the couch watching mind numbing features on the "box" and done little to guide the future of this country, If any of the folks you've listed, have changed that, and whats happening now all over the country proves that out..then so be it. Once people begin to learn for themselfs and study whats taking place, they likely move on to to veiw or opinion thats suits their own thought. With out that nudge, to stimulate the mind we would be still uninformed. I am over 60 and can reflect back and remember when there were no conflicting thought/opinion being offered. thats how we got in this situation we find ourselfs now. We frankly went to sleep behind the wheel as they say. Nobody was making an "outlandish" statement that brought us out of the chair and planted the question , can that be true? , I've got to check this out. So, think we should be O.K. with them, they provoke and prod, and perhaps thats something most of us need to become involved again.

Time for a Reality check! Time to take a look at the big confidence game that is being run on America. Glen Beck, Oprah and Bill O'Riley, Rush and Hannity , Jon Stewart, Greta, Keith Oberman and Chris Mathews all have the same thing in common, they are entertainers. Their stock in trade is emotions. If they can cause the viewer to laugh or cry or better still, get really angry and hating someone, then they have had a successful program. They are not journalists. If you get your news from them then you are guilty of gross intellectual sloth. They only give you an opinion about a topic of their choosing.
Do you really think that Glen Becks and the Keith Obermans are that different? Both are committed to stirring the fires of discontent with each side accusing the other of all sorts of crimes and misdemeanors. The game is to incite anger and hostility between the right and the left. The big con is to keep us thinking that if "our side can win" things will be better. Both parties are corporate entities whose very survival is based on keeping a rabid base fired up.
