What we are talking about exactly is to prevent US employers from hiring undocumented people in the first place, thus removing the incentive to enter the US illegally- with the notable exception of drug sumgglers who can then be dealt with as the criminals they are. What we are talking about exactly is to withdraw all public support from any undocumented alien in America and to agressively deport those we find here. What we are talking about exactly is a legal guest worker program that requires the worker to go back home when the work is over. What we are talking about exactly is to end 'anchor babies' and encourage Mexicans to go back home and get their own country in order instead of trying to change ours.

States actually have the power to control immigration such as demanding that non-citizen leave because any power that the federal government does not have is reserved for the states. Since the federal government has no power to control the immigration of the movement of people across borders then each state has that power. I would suggest that if you feel that the freedom of association should not be violated then petition your state and local government to allow non-citizens to squat in your state as long as they want.
