The individual mandate cannot be justified by the argument that everyone will eventually be a health care consumer…  Some people move out of the country.  Some pay out of pocket for their treatment.  Others die suddenly.  Still others choose to refuse health care when it is offered.  For these people, the individual mandate is nothing short of theft.
