@CoreyMondello are you protesting the Obama wars? hope so, otherwise you’re a jerk for that comment.

To answer, though, the Tenth Amendment Center was doing the same thing. Look at our archives back to Jan 2007 ish. A lot on unconstitutional wars. And me, personally, the founder of the TAC? I was at a protest the night the Iraq bombs started dropping, when polls showed support for bombing them at 80%+.

The real question – were YOU on board with the right message from day one?

where were all the “only congress can declare war” and pro-Constitution folks when Bush administration shredded the Constitution? When BUSH was president all his supporters backed him when ever he wanted to kill anyone and toss anyone in jail forever….what has changed….? Oh yeah, we have a Democrat in the WH.

@onetenther there’s a HUGE difference when they’re done how they’ve been done.

Declaration of war – congress says the war IS going to start. The president is then required to wage it.

AUMF – as congress has done them – congress says war CAN happen, and it’s up to the president to decide IF it will.

See the difference there?

Only congress can decide how our armed forces are. I don’t agree with Ron Paul that we need a declaration of war because authorization to use force seems to be the same thing. What is the difference between declaring war with a nation and authorizing force to be used against them? It seems to be a game of symantics over what term we use.
