Michael Lotfi, executive director for the Tennessee chapter of the Tenth Amendment Center, delivered a speech at the “Nullify Obamacare” rally on the steps of the State House in Columbia, S.C.. Lotfi spoke to the crowd of approximately 450 people in the pouring rain and told them to hold their state legislators accountable.
“You can send whoever you want to Washington D.C., but the fight is here,” said Lotfi.
“Do we have the courage to face the reality of our times? If we have that courage, then we have to turn our eye away from D.C. for a moment, and we need to look right here at this building,” he said as he pointed to the South Carolina Capital building behind him.
“This building is where your answer is. The states have the right, the God given right and the natural right to nullify Obamacare.”
Lotfi also spoke momentarily about his personal history and the historical context surround nullification
