LANSING, Mich. (June 23, 2015) – Last week, a bill was filed in the Michigan state House that would end would end mandatory government licensing of marriages in the state, effectively nullifying in practice both major sides of the contentious national debate over government-sanctioned marriage.


Oklahoma Bill Would Effectively Nullify All Sides on Marriage

When it comes to the issue of marriage, some people want to force the entire country to accept legalized gay marriage in every state, while others want to force the entire country to accept only the traditional definition of marriage in every state. And others just want to keep the status quo.

But a bill under consideration in Oklahoma would effectively nullify everyone on all sides of the marriage issue.

In the video above, when discussing the Constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), the speaker pointed out that the “Individual Mandate” is a requirement, by the federal government, that an individual enter into a contract with an insurance company. The advocates claim that this can be justified under the Interstate Commerce Clause or under the power to tax for the “General Welfare”.
