I was recently on Foreign Policy Focus podcast to talk about some ways state and local action can actually have an impact on U.S. foreign policy.

When it comes confronting undeclared wars and unconstitutional foreign policy, we usually figure there isn’t much we can do besides elect the right people to federal office. But there are actually steps we can take at the state and even the local level that will have an impact on foreign policy and the consequences the seep to the domestic level.

In this interview, Kyle Anzalone and I talked police militarization, rendition and torture, how an aggressive border security policy could further expand the police and surveillance states, and how states can take control over their National Guard units.
