I recently appeared on the Year Zero podcast with Tommy Salmons to discuss the government response to the coronavirus pandemic. As usual, government solutions are worse than the problem.

Tommy and I covered a number of topics surrounding the response to coronavirus including the expansion of federal power, specifically President Trump’s activation of the Defense Production Act. I argued that “emergency” expansions of powers never go away. We also discussed the economic ramifications of the economic shutdown and the actions of the Federal Reserve. I argued that the coronavirus was merely the pin that pricked an economic bubble that was set to pop anyway, and that the Fed is going to make the economic crisis even worse.
