I recently appeared on the Kate Dalley show to talk about the power of state power.

We started the conversation talking about the role of the federal government in coronavirus response and policing. I pointed out that the feds have no business in either.

I also explained why we should reject centralized power as a general rule and why we should stop obsessing over the next “most important federal election” of our lifetime. I wrapped up the first segment outlining James Madison’s blueprint to fight overreaching federal power. In the second segment, we talked about how the Supreme Court created qualified immunity for cops and how state action can create a viable workaround.

Finally, we talk about the fact that at some point, we have to be willing to engage in civil disobedience.
