The rhetoric is that Republicans are the party of small, limited government. The reality is something completely different.
For instance, the Trump administration has significantly increased the number of federal employees to near-record levels. His expansion of federal employment looks a lot like Barack Obama’s.
The notion that Republicans are “small government” people is more rhetoric than reality.
