We have flipped the American constitutional system on its head.
James Madison laid out the intent of the Constitution in Federalist #45. The federal government’s powers were to be “few and defined.” Those remaining to the states and the people were to be “numerous and indefinite.” The system we have today is the exact opposite.
This has not worked out well for our freedoms nor our liberty.
