		<description><![CDATA[Oh, I was just having some fun.  The topic you raise is a very difficult one in my mind.  A big part of me wants to subscribe to the Paul theory that we will be more prosperous and peaceful if we demilitarize around the world.  Another part of me realizes that we rich, resource-hungry Americans are invariably going to have to plunder the world as we do, lest we lose our control to maintain an open supply to these resources.    
 
Now, it is easy to point to other less-hawkish nations who don&#039;t militarize the globe and still manage fine, but these other nations are reliant on us.  They are basically taking a free ride.   
 
It is not a good position to be in, and it would be good to have another, less-nasty way to stay out of world affairs but keep the oil flowing.
