TN Lt. Gov Ramsey Joins Efforts to Uphold 10th Amendment Legislation

RonRamseyRunning for Governor in 2010, Ron Ramsey has stepped up to the plate in support of the 10th Amendment and limited, Constitutional government.

In the past week, he’s signed the 10-4 Pledge for the Constitution, in which he affirms that “All just political authority is derived from the People, and government may only be established and maintained with their consent,” and where he promises that his “votes will always be in favor of the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of this State.  Every issue.  Every time.  No exceptions.  No excuses.” (thanks to Lesley Swann and the TN 10th Amendment group in presenting Ron the pledge!)

Also this week, Ramsey  joined efforts to uphold the Firearms Freedom Act, which was overwhelmingly approved by the General Assembly this year.  Lt. Governor Ramsey is supplying a letter in support of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed on almost identical legislation in Montana to validate the principles and terms of the Act.  The lawsuit was filed after federal officials claimed that both the Tennessee and Montana Firearms Freedom Acts were null and void. Thank you, Lt. Gov. Ramsey! God bless you! Folks, we need to pray for our leaders and each other. These are dangerous times, and a lot of elected officials in Washington, DC, need to be behind bars (see "high crimes and misdemeanors"). This nation found itself in a war over states rights almost 150 years ago and our enemies would like nothing better. Christians, turn back to the Cross if you want the Lord to heal our land and restore the Constitution! As Nehemiah did, ask the Lord for protection and set a watch!

We listened to Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey speak at our meeting on the 16th of Nov. We were all impressed by his views regarding the 10th amendment. He seems to be in step with the views of Rep. Susan Lynn and Rep. Frank Niceley of TN. There is hope for us after all!
