In its truest sense, pure socialism works as you might suggest, but that was merely a theory which assumed that everyone would agree with it, practice it the same way, and not abuse the system.

Frankly, the two paradigms – in practice as opposed to theory – are so similar, I am not so sure what are the main differences, anymore. Consider that very carefully.

But it seems there remain some important differences, which might prove vestiges before long.

There is something about the capitalist ideal that really makes life like a box of chocolates and not so mundane. There are a few out there who really hit the big one for working hard and doing right – and sometimes just getting lucky. I think that is just amazing and admire it. I know the folks that created and patented Scoop-Away cat litter, and sold the rights to Purina. I also live near, and have met members of, the family that invented the WeedEater.

These are great stories! Had the government intervened and yanked their brilliance from them for a mere pittance, the story-line just wouldn't be near the entertaining and motivating one it is.

Can you imagine if the inventor of the WeedEater was met by government officials, his papers and ideas were taken, with an official statement: "Thank you, Comrade! Your sacrifice will go to good use."

What of the recent movie about the guy who invented the intermittent windshield wiper, to have it stolen by Ford (a true story)? In the end, the jury vindicates him, and makes Ford pay $10 million.

What kind of inspiring movie would that have been had the jury decided that he should get nothing because to keep him from becoming a millionaire would mean that Ford could sell the device more cheaply to the masses?

That just doesn't exactly inspire.

Conservatives understand how leftist tend to screw up really bad and end up hurting the people they intended to help. Your absolutely right that capitalism is really all about individual freedom, where as big government, socialism, or otherwise collectivism is really just economic servitude.
In so much that such collectivism also in so much that it also promises security, it cost us in our liberty. That relationship trade-off and nature MUST be understood by all people if they are to make an intelligent choice!

This fact of Capitalism being quite literally directly all about our individual freedom must be stated over and over again, for our proper understanding of its nature is absolutely central to our future life, liberty, and happiness.

Let the people speak and understand plainly about the plain and simple truth of theses facts, let them see with their eyes and understand with their own minds, the inherit and unavoidable relationship between their freedom to choose for themselves and that of the economic system associated with such freedom known as Capitalism.

Let us be frank in that this IS A PERSONAL matter for that freedom to choose ourselves Is as personal as it gets.

That is the context talk of the Federal reserve as a naive attempt at making investments. Tell the people of the true consequences of its methods (the inflationary lending) and let them know that every "investment" this government agency makes either in government or in the private sector, it makes with their money.

Tt is not their elected representatives deciding how to tax and spend their money its a bunch of unelected bored members. that is the simple and easily variable truth.
Tell them it was made this way in the United States in 1913 as a liberalization of the Federal bank which itself also did theses things only at a far less "liberal" and more controlled rate.

Tell them the truth and let them judge for themselves the merits of how their money has been taken from them and used as investments in other enterprise. Tell them how the Federal reserve has clearly failed in its founding as it has produced nothing but inflation, along with a boom bust cycle. it's loads have not been replayed but rather forgiven, and thus the people's money was for the last 96 years been simply spent not mearly "borrowed" from them with out their consent.

Tell them this is wrong in the exact same way counterfeiting is wrong.

I have no problem with regulating trade, but would prefer the feds regulate within their authority and leave the states to regulate within theirs.
