It is in this vacuum that the disease of liberalism and, on it's heels, socialism have taken hold. Since the end of WWII through the baby boomer era, we have enjoyed such a rise in the standard of living and maybe we got lazy. Then the Johnson administration introduced "The Great Society" and started us down a slippery slope from which we haven't recovered. Now, it's do or die time. I say, scrap the stimulus, health care reform, crap and tax and pass the Fair Tax Bill. Bring the trillions going off-shore back home and let the private sector create the stimulus and put people back to work. Pass a balanced budget amendment and term limits for Congress. Decentralize social programs and let he states meter them out as needed. Make national politics a parttime job once again. We need to reclaim the exceptionalism we once had as a powerful but benevolent nation or freedom and liberty will vanish from this earth.

Hopefully enough people support candidates like Scott to pack state houses across the country with principled men and women.
