Well, I'm not sure what his definition of being forced to do something or not is, but mine would be that I would be put in prison and/or fined for not doing something. I guess it's voluntary in that I can decide not to pay the taxes now, but will have to pay them later & a fine & spend some quality time in prison for that option. That's not voluntary in any sense of the word.

I think he is saying that they are voluntary because we can voluntarily pick our deductions and pay less or more if we want which still doesn't make any sense but that is what I think he is thinking in his mind. What people don't realize is that anything the government can force you to do is voluntary because we give them that power that we once had and we can retake that power anytime we want so we voluntarily comply with all government laws since we agreed to let them do create those laws. They F up one time and we can then take those powers back.
