The Tenth Amendment is not about political parties. It’s about liberty.
As an example – for many years, conservatives turned a blind eye to passage of the patriot act – hundreds of pages that were never even read by people voting on it. And today, they’re rightfully outraged that the health care reform law was passed – even longer – without being read in Congress.
The lesson? When we turn a blind eye to such abuse of power because we might support one particular issue – sooner or later another group will be in power and use that as precedent to do something that we don’t approve of.
That’s why we at the Tenth Amendment Center demand strict adherence to the Constitution – every issue. every time. no exceptions. no excuses.

I share those sentiments because me living a certain way in my state should be all that I should ever want in my life. It should be all anyone else wants for themselves. The problems arises when other people think they can impose their will onto others through the government.
