The establishment Republicans want freedom lovers to think they are winning the health care battle right now.

With Obamacare being such a stunning disaster from the outset, they want freedom you to feel satisfied and complacent. The idea is that the Obamacare fiasco will anger the American people, leading to a Republican victory. Then the they will assume power, repeal Obamacare and everything will be fine.

This idea is erroneous for many different reasons.

The first is that massive entitlement programs like Obamacare never get repealed. Spineless politicians don’t want to make the tough decisions they know will make voter blocks angry. If anything, an expansion of the massive Obamacare entitlement program is likely, because it will allow politicians to dish out favors with other people’s money, and assure their reelection.

The second reason is that the Republicans can’t be trusted to repeal big government programs any more than Democrats. With the exception of some Tea Party folks, the Republican ranks in Congress are filled with the same good-old-boys that were so happy to destroy the Constitution and bankrupt the country under Bush. Now that they’re out of power, they speak a good game, but when the rubber hits the road, they capitulate. A classic example of that is their behavior during the Ted Cruz filibuster. They folded like a cheap suit under the pressure, allowing Obamacare to be inflicted on the public to the thunderous applause of influential Democrats.

The third and most important reason why we cannot be complacent is that Obamacare is just the beginning of the government’s plans. One of the biggest proponents of Obamacare, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, even admits that it is just a backdoor to single payer. It was meant to be a disaster, fail miserably, increase government power and be a springboard to a government-dominated health care system with no choices for consumers. So in a bizarre way, everything is going according to plan for these government schemers.

The question is: how do we put a wrench into that plan?

Is the right strategy to sit on our hands, elect Republicans, and hope that they defend freedom, even though they have a long track record of destroying it? I don’t think so.

Instead, the right strategy is to battle Obamacare, and any subsequent health care power-grabs, at the state and local levels. With the amazing amount of bureaucratic red tape that goes into implementing plans like Obamacare, we can trip them up by denying them state compliance.

We have already had success with many states denying the Medicaid Expansion and insurance exchanges that are needed to implement Obamacare, but that is not enough. We need full-blown Obamacare nullification, and we need to make the public aware that this is the appropriate way to fight back. The true fight has yet to begin, That will happen when they try to use Obamacare’s failure to push single payer on us. We need a coordinated, nationwide effort to stop that.

The Republican Party establishment is doing a great disservice to liberty in their pathetic attempt to get back into power. They don’t want their constituents realizing that the path to health care freedom is through civic action at the local and state levels. They want you hooked into their federal dog and pony show, thinking that the only way to keep the country from spiraling out-of-control is to vote for the red team every couple of years. Don’t let them play you for a sucker. Instead, take our 4 step plan to defeat Obamacare to your state legislature today.

Resistance begins with you, not a federal bureaucrat.
