South Carolina H3101, the “Obamacare nullification” bill, was just voted down 33-9 because of a parliamentary move by Republican Lt. Governor Glenn McConnell. He refused to allow any and every amendment filed on the bill banning the state from enforcing Obamacare from even being considered or voted on – knowing that the House version didn’t have the votes to pass.
Sen. Tom Davis made a heroic stand and strong plea to his colleagues to override the Lt. Gov’s ruling – but they rejected him.
WARNING – if you think the Republican party is a friend to the constitution – you’ve been fooled.
A small percentage of its members are working to do the right thing, but leadership – state and national – hates your liberty.
