In just over the past week, 16 state bills to reject aspects of unconstitutional federal power have moved forward. From legislation dealing with Common Core to mass surveillance programs, FDA restrictions and more…read on for details.
Bills to end Common Core pass the Montana House, 54-46 and the West Virginia House 75-19.
On NSA and other Mass Surveillance Programs. Bills in Virginia have passed both Houses and are going to the Governor’s desk – to help stop national license place tracking, and warrantless drone surveillance.
Two important privacy protection bills passed the Montana House by a wide margin, while they rejected a third. The North Dakota House voted 74-19 to stop warrantless drone spying, and an Oklahoma House committee voted 6-0 to turn off resources to NSA spying.
On turning off resources, a Vermont House committee held a hearing on H204, and a bill was introduced to do the same in Maine.
It was a HUGE week in Arizona as important committees all voted to pass bills to help stop Obamacare enforcement, block executive orders and unilateral EPA rules, and support gold and silver as legal tender.
Passed – “Right to Try Acts” that would effectively nullify in practice some FDA restrictions on terminally-ill patients are off to the Governor’s desk in both Utah and Virginia. A similar bill also moved forward in Oklahoma.
