“States… should nullify federal laws that violate the Constitution.”
-Walter E. Williams, Dec. 1, 2016

This is just what Thomas Jefferson recommended in 1798. He said, “whensoever” the federal government goes beyond the constitution, “a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy.” And James Madison said that states are “duty-bound to interpose.”  Duty. Not just a good idea.

It’s not often that someone so well-known talks positively about nullification, so we’re very happy that a lot of new people are hearing about it because of Walter Williams.

Thankfully, he’s not alone. John Whitehead of The Rutherford Institute put it this way, “Nullify everything the government does that is illegitimate, egregious or blatantly unconstitutional.”

Every day we work to get the message of the Constitution and liberty out to more and more people, and while we’ve got a lot of work yet to do, the foundation is set and growing.

In the last 2 years, we’ve gotten more nullification bills introduced – and PASSED – than at any time in history.  See our annual “State of the Nullification Movement Report” at this link. An updated report will be released for 2016 soon!

But we absolutely cannot be complacent, and we need your help now more than ever. I hope you’ll stand with us in this effort by starting a new membership to support our work.

A TAC membership for as little as 2 bucks a month means a great deal to us. If you prefer a yearly, 5-year or lifetime membership, those are available as well. We’re extremely grateful for whatever support level works best for you!

With your help, we’ll not only get the job done right now, but we’ll go much further for the Constitution and liberty in the years to come.
